Chennai Local Train Block Updates
Southern Railway will conduct Line Block and Power Block on most of the days in the Chennai Suburban section for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works under Railway zones. Following are Chennai Local Train Block Updates.
Chennai Egmore – Villupuram section : Line Block / Signal Block on 24.05.2024
Southern Railway has announced that, in order to prioritize passenger safety and train operations, there will be a Line Block/Signal Block in the Chennai Egmore – Villupuram section at Chengalpattu Yard from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on May 24, 2024, as part of ongoing engineering works. As a result, the following changes will be made to the pattern of EMU train services.
Partial Cancellation of EMU Train Services
- Train No. 40523, Chennai Beach – Chengalpattu EMU local leaving Chennai Beach at 09:30 hrs is PARTIALLY CANCELLED between Singaperumal koil and Chengalpattu on 24th May 2024.
- Train No. 40527, Chennai Beach – Chengalpattu EMU local leaving Chennai Beach at 10:56 hrs is PARTIALLY CANCELLED between Singaperumal koil and Chengalpattu on 24th May 2024.
- Train No. 40529, Chennai Beach – Chengalpattu EMU local leaving Chennai Beach at 11:40 hrs is PARTIALLY CANCELLED between Singaperumal koil and Chengalpattu on 24th May 2024.
- Train No. 40533, Chennai Beach – Chengalpattu EMU local leaving Chennai Beach at 12:40 hrs is PARTIALLY CANCELLED between Singaperumal koil and Chengalpattu on 24th May 2024.
- Train No. 40532, Chengalpattu – Chennai Beach EMU local leaving Chengalpattu at 11:30 hrs is PARTIALLY CANCELLED between Chengalpattu and Singaperumal koil on 24th May 2024.
- Train No. 40536, Chengalpattu – Chennai Beach EMU local leaving Chengalpattu at 13:00 hrs is PARTIALLY CANCELLED between Chengalpattu and Singaperumal koil on 24th May 2024.
- Train No. 40538, Chengalpattu – Chennai Beach EMU local leaving Chengalpattu at 13:45 hrs is PARTIALLY CANCELLED between Chengalpattu and Singaperumal koil on 24th May 2024.
- Train No. 40542, Chengalpattu – Chennai Beach EMU local leaving Chengalpattu at 15:05 hrs is PARTIALLY CANCELLED between Chengalpattu and Singaperumal koil on 24th May 2024.
Chennai Central – Gudur Section : Line Block / Power Block from 23.05.2024 to 27.04.2023
Southern Railway has announced that due to engineering works, a Line Block/Power Block will be in effect on the Chennai Central – Gudur Section between Attippattu Pudu Nagar and Ennore stations from 09:35 to 12:35 hours, from May 23 to May 27, 2024 (for 3 hours daily). Consequently, the following changes will be made to train services during this period.
Skipping of Stoppages of Trains
- Train No. 42014, Gummidipundi – Moore Market Complex EMU local leaving Gummidipundi at 09:55 hrs, will be dealt in fast line between Attippattu and Ennore, Skipping of Stoppages at Ennore from 23rd to 27th May 2024
- Train No. 42408, Sullurupeta – Moore Market Complex EMU local leaving Sullurupeta at 10:00 hrs, will be dealt in fast line between Attippattu and Ennore, Skipping of Stoppages at Ennore from 23rd to 27th May 2024.
- Train No. 42604, Gummidipundi – Chennai Beach EMU local leaving Gummidipundi at 10:55 hrs, will be dealt in fast line between Attippattu and Ennore, Skipping of Stoppages at Ennore from 23rd to 27th May 2024.
- Train No. 42016, Gummidipundi – Moore Market Complex EMU local leaving Gummidipundi at 11:30 hrs, will be dealt in fast line between Attippattu and Ennore, Skipping of Stoppages at Ennore from 23rd to 27th May 2024.
