MAJOR TRAIN BLOCKS 2025

Indian Railway is conducting major train blocks for various reasons including rail maintenance, over bridge maintenance, platform renovation, doubling works, due to heavy rain etc. Even though we are updating the train cancellation details daily in some other pages, for more conveniences of readers we decided to mention the full details of the blocks with mentioning of station name , date, name of the railway zone which announced the blocks etc.

However Railway is causing inconvenience to the passengers, they are eager to restore the canceled trains as early as possible. Here we are uploading major train blocks by various zones of the Indian Railway under one page on day to day basis.

VIRAR – VAITARNA AND SAPHALE – KELVE ROAD : TRAIN BLOCK ON 16.02.2025

Western Railway has announced a block on Sunday, 16th February 2025, for the launching of PSC slabs and girders between Virar and Vaitarna, as well as between Saphale and Kelve Road. The block between Virar and Vaitarna will be in effect for five hours and thirty minutes, from 01:40 hrs to 07:10 hrs. Similarly, the block between Saphale and Kelve Road will last five hours, from 01:50 hrs to 06:50 hrs on the same day. These blocks will be implemented on both the UP and Down lines, leading to disruptions in the schedule of several Western Railway trains. The details of the affected trains on 16th February 2025 are as follows:

Cancellations of Trains of 16th February, 2025

  • Train No. 93001 Virar – Dahanu Road Local Departing Virar at 04:50 hrs.
  • Train No. 93006 Dahanu Road – Churchgate Local Departing Dahanu Road at 07:00 hrs.
  • Train No. 93003 Virar – Dahanu Road Local Departing Virar at 05:35 hrs.
  • Train No. 93008 Dahanu Road – Churchgate Local Departing Dahanu Road at 07:10 hrs.
  • Train No. 93005 Churchgate – Dahanu Road Local Departing Churchgate at 05:03 hrs.
  • Train No. 93010 Dahanu Road – Borivali Local Departing Dahanu Road at 08:35 hrs.

Short Termination/ Partially Cancellation of Trains

  • Train No. 69140 Surat – Virar Passenger of 15th February, 2025 will short terminate at Palghar and partially cancelled between Palghar and Virar.
  • Train No. 19101 Virar – Bharuch Passenger of 16th February, 2025 will short originate ex Palghar and partially cancelled between Virar and Palghar.
  • Train No. 69164 Dahanu Road – Panvel of 16th February, 2025 will short originate from Vasai Road and partially cancelled between Dahanu Road and Vasai Road.
  • Train No. 61002 Dombivli – Boisar Passenger of 16h February, 2025 will short terminate at Vasai Road and partially cancelled between Vasai Road and Boisar.

Regulation/Rescheduling of Trains

  • Train No. 22921 Bandra Terminus – Gorakhpur Antyodaya Express journey commencing o­n 16th February, 2025 ex Bandra Terminus will be rescheduled by 1 hour.
  • Train No. 22718 Secunderabad – Rajkot Superfast Express journey commencing o­n 15th February, 2025 ex Secunderabad will be regulated by 1 hour.
  • Train No. 22953 Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Gujarat Superfast Express journey commencing o­n 16th February, 2025 ex Mumbai Central will be rescheduled by 40 minutes.
  • Train No. 20901 Mumbai Central – Gandhinagar Capital journey commencing o­n 16th February, 2025 ex Mumbai Central will be regulated by 30 minutes.
  • Train No. 12935 Bandra Terminus – Surat Superfast Express journey commencing o­n 16th February, 2025 ex Bandra Terminus will be regulated by 25 minutes.
  • Train No. 19038 Barauni – Bandra Terminus Avadh Express will be regulated by 1 hour.
  • Train No. 11087 Veraval – Pune Express will be regulated by 55 minutes.

  • Train No. 14707 Lalgarh – Dadar Ranakpur Express will be regulated by 25 minutes.
  • Train No. 69174 Dahanu Road – Borivali Passenger will be regulated by 25 minutes.
  • Train No. 12215 Delhi Sarai Rohilla – Bandra Terminus Garib Rath Express will be regulated by 20 minutes.

ADRA DIVISION : DEVELOPMENTAL WORKS UPTO 16.02.2025

South Eastern Railway announced that in view of developmental works in Adra Division, the following trains will be regulated as under:

Cancellation of Trains

  • Tain Nos.68090/68089 Adra-Midnapore-Adra MEMU will remain cancelled o­n10.02.2025, 14.02.2025 and 16.02.2025.
  • Train No.68045/68046 Adra-Asansol-Adra MEMU will remain cancelled from 10.02.2025 to 16.02.2025
  • Train No.63594/63593 Asansol-Purulia-Asansol MEMU o­n10.02.2025, 14.02.2025 and 15.02.2025.
  • Train No.18019/18020 Jhargram-Dhanbad-Jhargram Express will remain cancelled o­n 10.02.2025, 13.02.2025 and 16.02.2025
  • Train Nos.68053/68054 Adra-Barabhum-Adra MEMU will remain cancelled o­n 10.02.2025

Diversion of Train

  • Train No.18601 Tatanagar – Hatia Express, Journey commencing o­n 14.02.2025 will run o­n diverted route via Chandil-Gunda Bihar-Muri.

Short-termination/Short origination of Trains

  • Train Nos.68056/68060 Tatanagar-Asansol-Barabhum MEMU, Journey commencing o­n 14.02.2025will be short-terminated at/short originated from Adra.

JAMMU TAWI YARD : NON-INTERLOCKING (NI) WORK UPTO 19.02.2025

Northern Railway announced that due to Non-interlocking work at Jammutavi Yard for yard remodeling, the following trains will be cancelled/rescheduled, as per details mentioned below:-

Cancellation of trains

  • Train No.03309 Dhanbad Jn- Jammutavi JCO 22.02.2025, 01.03.2025 and 04.03.2025 will be cancelled.
  • Train No.03310 Jammutavi -Dhanbad JN JCO 23.02.2025, 02.03.2025 and 05.03.2025 will be cancelled.

Rescheduling of trains

  • Train No.03309 Dhanbad Jn- JammutaviJCO 08.02.2025, 15.02.2025 and 18.02.2025 will be rescheduled by140 minutes and late start from Dhanbad Jn.
  • Train No.03310 Jammutavi – Dhanbad Jn JCO 09.02.2025, 16.02.2025 and 19.02.2025, will be rescheduled by 140 minutes and late start from Jammutavi.

North Central Railway announced that the railway administration informs the general public that due to Non-Interlocking (NI) work for yard remodeling at Jammu Tawi Yard, a decision has been made to reschedule and cancel certain trains. The details are as follows:

Rescheduled Trains

  • Train No. 03309 (Dhanbad – Jammu Tawi) will depart 140 minutes late from Dhanbad on 08.02.2025, 15.02.2025, and 18.02.2025.
  • Train No. 03310 (Jammu Tawi – Dhanbad) will depart 140 minutes late from Jammu Tawi on 09.02.2025, 16.02.2025, and 19.02.2025.

Cancelled Trains:

  • Train No. 03309 (Dhanbad – Jammu Tawi) will remain canceled on 22.02.2025, 01.03.2025, and 04.03.2025.
  • Train No. 03310 (Jammu Tawi – Dhanbad) will remain canceled on 23.02.2025, 02.03.2025, and 05.03.2025.

THANE – DADAR : PLATFORM EXTENSION WORK UPTO 28.02.2025

Konkan Railway announced that it has been decided by Central Railway to extend the short termination of the following trains at Thane and Dadar station upto 28/02/2025 due to the extension work of Platform no. 12 and 13 at Mumbai CSMT. Repercussion to train services are as under:

  • Train No. 12134 Mangaluru Jn. – Mumbai CSMT Express will be short terminated at Thane station upto 28/02/2025.
  • Train No. 22120 Madgaon Jn. – Mumbai CSMT Tejas Express will be short terminated at Dadar station upto 28/02/2025.
  • Train No. 12052 Madgaon Jn. – Mumbai CSMT Janshatabdi Express will be short terminated at Dadar station upto 28/02/2025.

MANOPAD – ALAMPUR ROAD : : PARTIAL CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING OF TRAINS UPTO 26.02.2025

South Central Railway announced that due to Traffic Block between Manopad – Alampur Road in Hyderabad Division the following trains are cancelled/ rescheduling of trains as detailed below:

Partial Cancellations

The following trains will be partially canceled on specific dates:

  • Secunderabad – Kurnool City (Train No. 17023) on February 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, and 26, 2025, will be canceled between Gadwal and Kurnool City.
  • Kurnool City – Secunderabad (Train No. 17024) on the same dates will be canceled between Kurnool City and Gadwal.

Rescheduling of Trains

The following trains will be rescheduled on specific dates:

  • Kurnool City – Secunderabad (Train No. 17024) on February 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, and 25, 2025, will be delayed by 120 minutes.
  • Guntur – Aurangabad (Train No. 17253) on February 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, and 26, 2025, will be delayed by 60 minutes.

GUNTAKAL DIVISION : NON-INTERLOCKING WORK UPTO 09.02.2025

South Central Railway announced that due to Non-Interlocking (NI) works related to the construction of bypass lines in the Guntakal Division, several train services will be affected. Below are the details of partial cancellations, diversions, and rescheduled trains.

Partial Cancellations

  • Train No. 17664 (Nanded – Raichur) will be partially canceled between Tandur and Raichur from February 5, 2025, to February 9, 2025.
  • Train No. 17663 (Raichur – Parbhani) will be partially canceled between Raichur and Tandur from February 6, 2025, to February 10, 2025.
  • Train No. 57601 (Falaknuma – Wadi) will be partially canceled between Chittapur and Wadi from February 6, 2025, to February 9, 2025.
  • Train No. 57602 (Wadi – Kacheguda) will be partially canceled between Wadi and Chittapur from February 6, 2025, to February 9, 2025.

Diversion of Trains

  • Train No. 01437 (Solapur – Tirupati) will be diverted via Vijayapura, Gadag, Hosapete, and Bellari on February 6, 2025. Due to this diversion, the train will skip stoppages at Kurduwadi, Barsi, Osmanabad, Latur, Latur Road, Udgir, Bhalki, Bidar, Homnabad, Kalaburagi, Wadi, Yadgir, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, and Adoni.
  • Train No. 17621 (Aurangabad – Tirupati) will be diverted via Vikarabad, Secunderabad, Kacheguda, Dhone, and Guntakal on February 7, 2025. As a result, the train will not stop at Tandur, Chittapur, Yadgir, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, and Adoni.

Rescheduled Trains

  • Train No. 16382 (Kanniyakumari – Pune) will be rescheduled by 90 minutes on February 6, 7, and 8, 2025.
  • Train No. 11020 (Bhubaneswar – CST Mumbai) will be rescheduled by 75 minutes on February 7, 2025, and by 150 minutes on February 8, 2025.
  • Train No. 17418 (Sainagar Shirdi – Tirupati) will be rescheduled by 150 minutes on February 5, 2025.

KALYAN – VANGANI : SPECIAL TRAFFIC AND POWER BLOCKS O­N 01/02.02.2025

Central Railway has announced that special traffic and power blocks will be conducted for the launching of the FOB main girder between Kalyan and Vangani on the night of February 1-2, 2025 (Saturday/Sunday). The block will be implemented in three sections, as detailed below:

Block Date: – February 01/02 (Saturday / Sunday Night)

Block Section:

  • UP and DOWN lines between  Kalyan and Badlapur  (Excluding stations)  and  
  • UP and DOWN lines between  Ambernath and  Vangani (Excluding stations)
  • Block Duration: 01:30 hrs to 03:30 hrs (2 hours)
  • Work: Erection of 12 meters wide FOB girders (7 nos)
  • Block Section: Badlapur and  Vangani (Excluding stations)
  • Duration: 01:30 hrs to 03:00 hrs (01.30 hours)
  • Work: Erection of 4 meters wide FOB girders (4 nos)
  • Block Section: Karjat and  Bhivpuri Road (Excluding stations)
  • Duration: 02:00 hrs to 03:30 hrs (01.30 hours)
  • Work: Erection of 2 composite plate girders

Repercussions due to the Block:-

Diversion of Mail/Express Trains

Following trains will be diverted via Karjat – Panvel  and will be given halt at Panvel and Kalyan.

  • Train no 11020 (Bhubaneshwar  – CSMT Konark Express), 
  • Train no 18519 ( Vishakhapatnam – LTT Express), 
  • Train no 12702 (Hyderabad – CSMT Hussainsagar Express), 
  • Train no 11140 (Hosapete – CSMT Express).

Working of Suburban Trains during the block period:

  • Suburban services will not be available between Kalyan  and Karjat section during the block period.
  • Last Local for Karjat before block – CSMT departure at 23:51 hrs and Karjat arrival at 01:49 hrs
  • First Local for CSMT after block – Karjat departure at 03:35 hrs and CSMT arrival at  05:56 hrs.
  • First Local for CSMT after block Ambarnath  departure 04:08 hrs and CSMT arrival at 05:50 hrs.

South Central Railway announced that due to Non-Interlocking works at Khammam station in Kazipet – Vijayawada section over Secunderabad Division the following trains are cancelled/ diverted / rescheduling of trains as detailed below.

Diversion of Trains

The following trains will be diverted via alternate routes

  • Shalimar – Hyderabad (Train No. 18045) will be diverted via Vijayawada, Guntur, and Secunderabad from February 17 to 19, 2025, skipping stops at Khammam, Mahbubabad, Warangal, Kazipet, Jangaon, Aler, and Bhongir.
  • Hyderabad – Shalimar (Train No. 18046) will follow the same diversion from February 18 to 20, 2025.
  • CST Mumbai – Bhubaneswar (Train No. 11019) will be diverted via Wadi, Vikarabad, Secunderabad, Guntur, and Vijayawada from February 17 to 19, 2025, skipping stops at Kazipet, Warangal, Mahbubabad, Khammam, and Madhira.
  • Bhubaneswar – CST Mumbai (Train No. 11020) will follow the same diversion from February 17 to 19, 2025.
  • Shalimar – Secunderabad (Train No. 22849) on February 19, 2025, will be diverted via Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, and Secunderabad, skipping Rayanapadu, Warangal, and Kazipet.
  • H. Nizamuddin – Kanniyakumari (Train No. 12642) on February 10, 15, and 17, 2025, will be diverted via Balharshah, Kazipet, Kacheguda, Dhone, Guntakal, Renigunta, and Chennai Egmore, skipping Vijayawada and Gudur.
  • H. Nizamuddin – Trivandrum (Train No. 12644) on February 14, 2025, will be diverted via Balharshah, Kazipet, Kacheguda, Dhone, Guntakal, and Renigunta, skipping Warangal, Vijayawada, and Gudur.
  • H. Nizamuddin – Ernakulam (Train No. 12646) on February 11 and 18, 2025, will follow the same diversion, skipping Warangal, Vijayawada, and Gudur.
  • Indore – Trivandrum (Train No. 22645) on February 10 and 17, 2025, will be diverted via Balharshah, Kazipet, Kacheguda, Dhone, Guntakal, Renigunta, and Chennai Egmore, skipping Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Tenali, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, and Gudur.

Rescheduling of Trains

The following trains will be rescheduled

  • Adilabad – Tirupati (Train No. 17406) on February 9, 11, 14, 18, and 19, 2025, will be delayed by 90 minutes.
  • Visakhapatnam – Tirupati (Train No. 20833) on February 19 and 20, 2025, will be delayed by 75 minutes.
  • Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam (Train No. 20834) on February 19 and 20, 2025, will be delayed by 75

Southern Railway has announced that South Central Railway has issued a notification regarding changes in train services due to Pre-Non Interlocking and Non-Interlocking work at Khammam station in the Kazipet–Vijayawada section of the Secunderabad Division. The details are as follows:

Cancellation of Train Services:

  • Train No. 22648 Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli) – Korba Bi-Weekly Superfast Express leaving Thiruvananthapuram North at 06.15 hrs o­n 03rd, 06th and 10th February 2025 is fully cancelled.
  • Train No. 22647 Korba – Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli) Bi-Weekly Superfast Express leaving Korba at 19.40 hrs o­n 05th, 08th and 12th February 2025 is fully cancelled.
  • Train No. 12511 Gorakhpur – Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli) Tri-Weekly Raptisagar Superfast Express leaving Gorakhpur at 06.40 hrs o­n 07th and 09th February 2025 is fully cancelled.
  • Train No. 12512 Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli) – Gorakhpur Tri-Weekly Raptisagar Superfast Express leaving Thiruvananthapuram North at 06.35 o­n 11th and 12th February 2025 is fully cancelled.
  • Train No. 06509 KSR Bengaluru – Danapur Special (via Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam and Perambur) leaving KSR Bengaluru at 07.15 hrs o­n 03rd and 10th February, 2025 is fully cancelled
  • Train No. 06510 Danapur – KSR Bengaluru Special (via Perambur, Arakkonam, Katpadi and Jolarpettai) leaving Danapur at 18.10 hrs o­n 05th and 12th February, 2025 is fully cancelled

Diversion of Train Services

  • Train No. 12642 Hazrat Nizamuddin – Kanniyakumari Superfast Express leaving Hazrat Nizamuddin at 05.20 hrs o­n 03rd, 08th and 12th February, 2025 will be diverted to run via Balharshah, Kazipet, Moula Ali ‘G’ Cabin, Kacheguda, Dhone, Guntakal, Renigunta and Chennai Egmore skipping stoppages at Vijayawada and Gudur
  • Train No. 12644 Hazrat Nizamuddin – Thiruvananthapuram Central Swarna Jayanthi Weekly Superfast Express leaving Hazrat Nizamuddin at 19.40 hrs o­n 07th February, 2025  will be diverted to run via Kazipet, Kacheguda, Dhone, Guntakal and Renigunta skipping stoppages at Warangal, Vijayawada and Gudur
  • Train No. 12646 Hazrat Nizamuddin – Ernakulam Jn Millennium Weekly Superfast Express leaving Hazrat Nizamuddin at 05.10 hrs  o­n 04th and 11th February 2025 will be diverted to run via Kazipet, Kacheguda, Dhone, Guntakal and Renigunta skipping stoppages at Warangal, Vijayawada and Gudur
  • Train No. 22645 Indore – Thiruvananthapuram North Weekly Superfast Express leaving Indore at 16.45 hrs o­n 03rd and 10th February 2025 will be diverted to run via Kazipet, Kacheguda, Dhone, Guntakal and Renigunta skipping stoppages at Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Tenali, Chirala, o­ngole, Nellore and Gudur
  • Train No. 12295 SMVT Bengaluru – Danapur Sanghamitra Express leaving SMVT Bengaluru at 09.15 hrs from 11th to 13th February, 2025 will be diverted to run via Dharmavaram, Guntakal, Sulehalli, Secunderabad and Kazipet skipping stoppage at Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Kumarapuram, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam, Perambur, Gudur, Nellore, o­ngole, Vijayawada, Khammam and Warangal

CSMT – MASJID STATION : SPECIAL EMERGENCY BLOCK UPTO 30.01.2025

The Central Railway, Mumbai Division, will conduct a Special Emergency Block between CSMT and Masjid stations at Km 0/1-2 on the CSMT-Kalyan section for the launching of girders as part of the reconstruction of Carnac ROB (Span-2).

The block will be implemented on the following nights: January 28/29, 2025 (Tuesday/Wednesday), January 29/30, 2025 (Wednesday/Thursday). The block duration will be from 00:30 hrs to 03:30 hrs (3 hours) on both nights.

  • UP and DOWN SLOW Lines and UP and DOWN FAST Lines – Between Byculla and CSMT (excluding both stations)
  • UP and DOWN HARBOUR Lines – Between Vadala Road and CSMT (excluding both stations)

Working of Suburban trains during the block period:

  • Suburban services will not be available between Byculla and CSMT stations o­n MAIN line and Vadala Road and CSMT stations o­n HARBOUR line during the block period.

North Eastern Railway announced that the Railway Administration has announced the cancellation, short termination/origination, and rescheduling of several trains during Mahakumbh as follows:

Train Cancellations:

  • Train No. 20961 Udhna – Banaras Express, scheduled to depart from Udhna on 28 January 2025, will remain cancelled.
  • Train No. 20962 Banaras – Udhna Express, scheduled to depart from Banaras on 29 January 2025, will remain cancelled.

Short Termination / Short Origination:

  • Train No. 65117 Ghazipur City – Prayagraj Sangam Express, scheduled to run from 27 to 30 January 2025, will terminate at Phaphamau Jn. at 09:20 AM instead of Prayagraj Sangam.
  • Train No. 65118 Prayagraj Sangam – Ghazipur City Express, scheduled to run from 27 to 30 January 2025, will originate from Phaphamau Jn. at 06:00 PM instead of Prayagraj Sangam.

MUMBAI CSMT – MASJID STATIONS : TWO SPECIAL TRAFFIC AND POWER BLOCKS UPTO 03.02.2025

Konkan Railway has announced that Central Railway – Mumbai Division has decided to operate two special traffic and power blocks for the launching of open web girders as part of the reconstruction of Carnac ROB (Span II). These blocks will affect all lines, including the Up and Down Through lines, Up and Down Local lines, and Up and Down Harbour Line, at Km 00/1-2 between Mumbai CSMT and Masjid stations on 25/01/2024, 26/01/2025, 27/01/2025, 01/02/2025, 02/02/2025, and 03/02/2025. The impact on train services is as follows:

Southern Railway has announced that, due to a Line Block/Power Block for the re-girdering of Bridge No. 14 between Basin Bridge and Vyasarpadi, the following modifications have been made to train services.

Diversion of Train Services

  • Train No. 22645 Indore – Kochuveli Superfast Express, departing from Indore at 16:45 hrs on 27th January 2025, will be diverted via Korukkupet, Vyasarpadi, and Perambur, skipping stoppage at Dr MGR Chennai Central. An additional stoppage will be provided at Perambur, with arrival at 23:25 hrs and departure at 23:30 hrs.
  • Train No. 13351 Dhanbad – Alappuzha Express, departing from Dhanbad at 11:35 hrs on 27th January 2025, will be diverted via Korukkupet, Vyasarpadi, and Perambur, skipping stoppage at Dr MGR Chennai Central. An additional stoppage will be provided at Perambur, with arrival at 23:35 hrs and departure at 23:40 hrs.
  • Train No. 13352 Alappuzha – Dhanbad Express, departing from Alappuzha at 06:00 hrs on 30th January 2025, will be diverted via Perambur, Vyasarpadi, and Korukkupet, skipping stoppage at Dr MGR Chennai Central. Southern Railway has announced changes in train service patterns due to a line block and power block for Road Under Bridge work between Bengaluru Cantonment and Baiyappanahalli sections.

KADUR – BIRUR YARDS : SAFETY RELATED WORK TRAIN BLOCK UPTO 04.02.2025

The South Western Railway has announced that safety-related maintenance work at Kadur and Birur yards will result in the partial cancellation, rescheduling, and regulation of the following trains as detailed below:

Partial Cancellation of Trains

  • Train No. 56271 Shivamogga Town-Chikkamagaluru Daily Passenger will be partially cancelled between Birur and Chikkamagaluru o­n January 25 and February 1, 2025. The train will short-terminate at Birur.

Rescheduling/Regulation of Trains

  • Train No. 16213 Arsikere-SSS Hubballi Daily Express, journey commencing o­n January 21 and February 4, 2025, will be rescheduled by 75 minutes from Arsikere.
  • Train No. 56906 SSS Hubballi-Solapur Daily Passenger, journey commencing o­n January 21 and February 4, 2025, will be rescheduled by 75 minutes from Hubballi.

Northern Railway has announced a traffic block at Platform No. 3 of New Delhi Station from January 20, 2025, to February 3, 2025. During this period, the following trains will be rescheduled, diverted, or have changes in their terminal and platform, as detailed below:

Northern Railway has announced that due to a traffic block for the construction of the Bally Ghat-Bally Halt Road Under Bridge (RUB) to replace the steel girder over Sealdah Division, the following trains will be diverted as detailed below:

MAHIM – BANDRA : MAJOR TRAIN BLOCK of 9.30 HOURS FOR RE-GIRDERING OF BRIDGE NO. 20 : ON 24/25 and 25/26.01.2025

Western Railway has announced major blocks for rebuilding the south abutment of Bridge No. 20 between Mahim and Bandra stations. The blocks will occur on the following nights:

24th/25th January 2025 (Friday/Saturday):

  • UP and Down Slow Lines: Block from 23:00 hrs to 08:30 hrs.
  • Down Fast Line: Block from 00:30 hrs to 06:30 hrs.

25th/26th January 2025 (Saturday/Sunday):

  • UP and Down Slow and Down Fast Lines: Block from 23:00 hrs to 08:30 hrs.
  • UP Fast Line: Block from 23:00 hrs to 07:30 hrs.

During these blocks, suburban train services will be affected. Detailed information is provided below:

Repercussions o­n 24th /25th January 2025 (Friday/Saturday):-

  • Last Slow service towards Virar will depart Churchgate at 23:58 hrs.
  • All Slow services departing Churchgate after 23.00 hrs o­n Friday, will run o­n Fast Line between Mumbai Central and Santacruz and hence will not halt at Mahalaxmi, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, Matunga Road, Mahim and Khar Road stations.
  • Similarly, after 23:00 hrs, all Slow services departing Virar, Bhayandar and Borivali will be run o­n the Fast line between Santacruz and Mumbai Central, hence will not halt at Khar Road, Mahim, Matunga Road, Prabhadevi, Lower Parel and Mahalaxmi stations.
  • During the execution of work, services between Churchgate and Dadar will be operated o­n Fast lines.
  • Some Western & Central Railway services between Goregaon and Bandra will be operated o­n Harbour lines.
  • On 25th January, 2025 i.e. Saturday early morning, Slow & Fast services originating from Virar, Nallasopara, Vasai Road, Bhayandar and Borivali will run up to Andheri o­nly.
  • First Fast train service for Churchgate after block will depart from Virar at 05:47 hrs and reach Churchgate at 07:05 hrs.
  • First Down Fast line service after block will depart from Churchgate at 06:14 hrs.
  • First Down Slow line service after block will depart from Churchgate at 08:03 hrs.
  • On Friday/Saturday approx. 127 Suburban services will remain cancelled and 60 services will remain partially cancelled.

  • During the execution of work, services between Churchgate and Dadar will operate o­n Fast lines.
  • On Saturday night/ Sunday morning, both Slow and Fast services originating from Virar, Nallasopara, Vasai Road, Bhayandar and Borivali will run up to Andheri.
  • Some Western & Central Railway services between Goregaon and Bandra will be operated o­n Harbour lines.
  • The last local o­n UP Fast line will be Virar-Churchgate ex Virar at 22:07 hrs and o­n UP Slow line will be Borivali – Churchgate ex Borivali at 22:22 hrs.
  • The last local o­n the DOWN Fast line will be Churchgate – Borivali ex Churchgate at 22:33 hrs and the last o­n DOWN Slow lines will be Churchgate – Bhayandar ex Churchgate at 22:26 hrs. These trains will be extended up to Virar.

Western Railway has announced major blocks on the intervening nights of January 24 and 25, 2025 (Friday/Saturday), for the re-girdering of Bridge No. 20 over Mahim Creek between Mahim and Bandra stations on the UP and Down Slow lines. On January 24/25, 2025, the block will be implemented from 11:00 PM to 8:30 AM on the UP and Down Slow lines, and from 12:30 AM to 6:30 AM on the Down Fast lines. On January 25/26, 2025, the block will be in effect from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM on the UP Fast lines. Some suburban train services will be affected during this period. Further details are provided below.

The Northern Railway has issued a public notice informing that certain trains have been canceled or diverted. Additionally, trains previously canceled or diverted due to a traffic block between Delhi Junction and Delhi Shahdara station in the Delhi Division have had their routes restored. Details of the revised train numbers and updated schedules are provided below.

CASTLE ROCK – KULEM SECTION : SAFETY-RELATED WORK UPTO 16.04.2025

South Western Railway has announced that, to carry out track maintenance and safety-related work on the Castle Rock–Kulem section from January 17 to April 16, 2025, for a period of 90 days, the following trains will be partially cancelled and diverted.

  • Train No. 17420/17022 Vasco Da Gama-Tirupati/Hyderabad Weekly Express, journey commencing o­n January 17, 24, 31; February 7, 14, 21, 28; March 7, 14, 21, 28; and April 4, 11, 2025, will be partially cancelled between Vasco Da Gama and SSS Hubballi stations. The train will originate from SSS Hubballi at its scheduled departure time.
  • Train No. 17039 Secunderabad-Vasco Da Gama Bi-weekly Express, journey commencing from January 17 to April 16, 2025, will be partially cancelled between SSS Hubballi and Vasco Da Gama stations. The train will short-terminate at SSS Hubballi.
  • Train No. 17040 Vasco Da Gama-Secunderabad Bi-weekly Express, journey commencing from January 18 to April 17, 2025, will originate from SSS Hubballi instead of Vasco Da Gama station, duly partially cancelled between Vasco Da Gama and SSS Hubballi stations.

  • Train No. 22475 Hisar – Coimbatore AC Express leaving Hisar at 13.50 hrs o­n 29th January, 2025 will be diverted to run via Churu, Sikar, Ringas, Phulera, Ajmer, and Marwar skipping stoppages at Sikar, Ringas, Phulera, and Ajmer.

BIKANER – SADULPUR SECTION : PATCH DOUBLING WORK UPTO 29.01.2025

Western Railway has announced that, due to Non-Interlocking work for the commissioning of patch doubling between Ratangarh and Molisar stations on the Bikaner–Sadulpur section, several Western Railway trains will be affected. The details of the impacted trains are as follows:

Cancellation of Trains

  • Train No.19271 Bhavnagar – Haridwar Weekly Express of 20th and 27th January, 2025 will be cancelled.
  • Train No.19272 Haridwar – Bhavnagar Weekly Express of 22nd and 29th January,2025 will be cancelled.

Partial Cancellation of Trains

  • Train No. 22915/22916 Bandra Terminus – Hisar Superfast Express will run upto Merta Road and partially cancelled between Merta Road and Hisar for journey commencing o­n 20th and 27th January, 2025 Ex Bandra Terminus and 21st and 28th January, 2025 Ex Hisar.
  • Train No. 19333/19334 Indore – Bikaner Express will run upto Sikar and partially cancelled between Sikar and Bikaner for journey commencing o­n 04th, 11th, 18th and 25th January, 2025 Ex Indore and 05th, 12th, 19th and 26th January, 2025 Ex Bikaner.

Rescheduling of Trains

  • Train No. 19027 Bandra Terminus – Jammu Tawi Express of 04th and 11th January, 2025 will be rescheduled by 01 hour 05 Minutes.
  • Train No. 22915 Bandra Terminus – Hisar Superfast Express of 06th and 13th January, 2025 will be rescheduled by 01 hour 05 Minutes.

Diversion of Trains

  • Train No. 19027 Bandra Terminus – Jammu Tawi Vivek Express of 18th and 25th January,2025 will be diverted via Degana, Phulera, Ringas, Rewari, Hisar. This train will be given stoppage at Phulera, Ringas, Nim ka Thana, Narnaul, Rewari and Bhiwani stations.
  • Train No. 19028 Jammu Tawi – Bandra Terminus Vivek Express of 27th January, 2025 will be diverted via Hisar, Rewari, Ringas, Phulera and Degana. This train will be given stoppage at Bhiwani, Rewari, Narnaul, Nim ka Thana, Ringas andPhulera stations.
  • Train No. 04712 Bandra Terminus – Bikaner Special of  16th, 23rd and 30th January, 2025 will be diverted via Jaipur, Merta Road and Bikaner. This train will be given stoppage at Phulera, Makrana, Degana and Nagaur stations.
  • Train No. 04711 Bikaner – Bandra Terminus Special of  15th, 22nd and 29th January, 2025 will be diverted via Bikaner, Merta Road and Jaipur. This train will be given stoppage atNagaur, Degana, Makrana and Phulera stations.

MADURAI DIVISION : FIXED TIME CORRIDOR BLOCK UPTO 31.01.2025

Southern Railway has announced the approval of a Fixed Time Corridor Block to facilitate engineering works across various sections in the Madurai Division for the month of January. As a result, the following changes will be made to the pattern of train services.

  • Train No. 16847 Mayiladuthurai – Sengottai Express leaving Mayiladuthurai at 12.00 hrs o­n 30th January, 2025 will be diverted to run via Tiruchchirappalli, Pudukkottai, Karaikkudi, Manamadurai and Virudunagar skipping stoppage at Manapparai, Vaiyampatti, Vadamadura, Dindigul, Kodaikanal Road, Madurai, Tirupparankundram, Tirumangalam and Kalligudi. Additional stoppages will be provided at Pudukottai, Sivaganga and Manamadurai

  • Train No. 22672 Madurai – Chennai Egmore Tejas Express leaving Madurai at 15.00 hrs o­n 25th, 28th January, 2025 will be partially cancelled between Madurai and Tiruchchirappalli. The train will commence journey from Tiruchchirappalli at its scheduled departure time of 17.05 hrs.
  • Train No. 16846 Sengottai – Erode Express leaving Sengottai at 05.00 hrs o­n 25th, 28th January, 2025 will be partially cancelled between Sengottai and Karur. The train will commence service from Karur at its scheduled departure time of 13.30 hrs.
  • Train No. 09519 Madurai – Okha Special leaving Madurai at 01.15 hrs o­n 31st January, 2025 will be partially cancelled between Madurai and Villupuram. The train will commence journey from Villupuram at its scheduled departure time of 06.35 hrs

SANEHWAL – AMRITSAR SECTION : TRAIN BLOCK UPTO 28.01.2025

Northern Railway has announced that, in order to improve infrastructure and carry out the redevelopment of Platform 6 and 7, there will be a block in the Ludhiana yard between the Sanehwal-Amritsar section of the Firozpur Division. As a result, the following trains will remain temporarily cancelled, short-terminated, short-originated, and there will be changes in their berthing as outlined below:

  • Train 04997 (Ludhiana to Firozpur) is cancelled from 15th November 2024 to 28th January 2025.
  • Train 04998 (Firozpur to Ludhiana) is cancelled from 15th November 2024 to 28th January 2025.
  • Train 14614 (Firozpur to Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar) is cancelled from 15th November 2024 to 28th January 2025.
  • Train 14613 (Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar to Firozpur) is cancelled from 15th November 2024 to 28th January 2025.

Northern Railway announced that due to block for Development work at Surat Railway Station phase 2, the following trains will Halt and Short Originate and Short Terminate at Udhna Railway Station instead of Surat Railway Station, as per details given below:-

Several trains will halt at Udhna station instead of Surat station during the specified periods:

  • Train No. 12218 (Chandigarh – Thiruvananthapuram North) will stop at Udhna on Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving at 03:14 and departing at 03:19, from 08.01.2025 to 07.03.2025.
  • Train No. 12217 (Thiruvananthapuram North – Chandigarh) will stop at Udhna on Sundays and Tuesdays, arriving at 15:23 and departing at 15:28, from 11.01.2025 to 03.03.2025.
  • Train No. 12484 (Amritsar Jn – Thiruvananthapuram North) will halt at Udhna on Mondays, arriving at 03:14 and departing at 03:19, from 12.01.2025 to 02.03.2025.
  • Train No. 12483 (Thiruvananthapuram North – Amritsar Jn) will stop at Udhna on Thursdays, arriving at 15:23 and departing at 15:28, from 08.01.2025 to 05.03.2025.

  • Train No. 12450 (Chandigarh – Madgaon Junction) will stop at Udhna on Mondays and Saturdays, arriving at 20:32 and departing at 20:37, from 11.01.2025 to 08.03.2025.
  • Train No. 20904 (Varanasi – Ekta Nagar Mahamana) will halt at Udhna on Fridays, arriving at 05:00 and departing at 05:05, from 09.01.2025 to 06.03.2025.
  • Train No. 12911 (Valsad – Haridwar Jn) will stop at Udhna on Tuesdays, arriving at 15:55 and departing at 16:00, from 14.01.2025 to 04.03.2025.

Additionally, certain trains will originate or terminate at Udhna station instead of Surat:

  • Train No. 09065 (Surat – Chhapra) will originate from Udhna on Mondays at 08:35.
  • Train No. 09066 (Chhapra – Surat) will terminate at Udhna on Wednesdays at 13:35.
  • Train No. 19045 (Surat – Chhapra) will originate from Udhna five days a week, except Tuesdays and Saturdays, at 10:20.
  • Train No. 19046 (Chhapra – Surat) will terminate at Udhna five days a week, except Mondays and Thursdays, at 15:55.

Western Railway announced that Surat station is undergoing complete transformation and is being developed into world class station. Presently, the concourse work in connection with the Surat Station Redevelopment (Phase-I) o­n Platform No. 04 is in progress. In view of this, the o­ngoing block which was extended upto 30th September, 2024 has now been further extended for 6 months, i.e. upto March 2025. Accordingly, the terminal of few trains originating/departing from Surat railway station which was shifted to Udhna station has been further extended and will continue upto March 2025. This change of terminal shall provide operational flexibility, reduce congestion at Surat station, allow augmenting and upgradation of passenger services and enable faster execution of the o­ngoing infrastructural project in Surat. It is pertinent to mention that Udhna is about 07 km away & well connected by road. A total of eight originating passenger trains will be short originated from Udhna station instead of Surat station while nine terminating trains will be short terminated at Udhna station instead of Surat station. The details of these trains are as under:

Trains Short Originating from Udhna station (Partially cancelled between Surat and Udhna Stations)

  • Train No. 19002 Surat – Virar Passenger, journey commencing upto 31st March, 2025 will short originate from Udhna station at 04:25 hrs (PF No. 3).
  • Train No. 12936 Surat – Bandra Terminus Intercity Express, journey commencing upto 31st March, 2025 will short originate from Udhna station at 16:35 hrs (PF No. 3).
  • Train No. 19007 Surat – Bhusaval Passenger, journey commencing upto 31st March, 2025 will short originate from Udhna station at 17:24 hrs (PF No. 4).
  • Train No. 19005 Surat – Bhusaval Express, journey commencing upto 31st March, 2025 will short originate from Udhna station at 23:30 hrs (PF No. 5).
  • Train No. 09065 Surat – Chhapra Special, journey commencing from 7th October, 2024 to 31st March, 2025 will short originate from Udhna station at 08:35 hrs (PF No. 3).
  • Train No. 19045 Surat – Chhapra Tapti Ganga Express, journey commencing from 2nd October, 2024 to 31st March, 2025 will short originate from Udhna station at 10:20 hrs (PF No. 5).
  • Train No. 22947 Surat – Bhagalpur Superfast Express, journey commencing upto 29th March, 2025 will short originate from Udhna station at 10:20 hrs (PF No. 5).
  • Train No. 20925 Surat – Amravati Superfast Express, journey commencing from 3rd October, 2024 to 30th March, 2025 will short originate from Udhna station at 12:30 hrs (PF No. 4).

Trains Short Terminating at Udhna station (Partially cancelled between Udhna and Surat Stations)

  • Train No. 19006 Bhusaval – Surat Passenger, journey commencing upto 31st March, 2025 will be short terminated at Udhna station and will arrive at 04:40 hrs (PF No. 5).

  1. Now a days lot of trains are having loose times which can be utilized for eg train no 17031
    Mumbai Hyderabad express right time at solapur is 22.05 22.15 but it will come at 22.55 and leaves at 23.05 almost 40mts late but will arrive Hyderabad at 5.45 am instead of 5.55am
    Similarly train no 17319 which leaves secunderabad at 15.40 reaches at 22.10 to Hotgi and departs at 23.10 reaches Gadag at 5.20 leaves Gadag at 6.10 am and reaches Hubli at 7.25 am.The timings can be changed so that the train can reach Hubli at 6.50am.

    Train no 11304 reaches Dharwar at 15.15 and reaches Hubballi at 15.50 leaves at 16.15 and reaches Guntakal at 22.00 arrives at 4.20at vikarabad . If you cutshort halt at Hubli and other the train can reach 5.45 am secunderabad.

  2. Suddenly all the trains were cancelled causing inconvenience to passengers and the railway in one line regretted. The works as informed could have been segregated.
    Today I am stuck at Guwahati as our train was cancelled. We were in a group of about 100 passengers, going to Odisha, about 1000 KM’s most are senior citizens and ladies booked tickets in the month of February 19. The plight can be well imagined. The train was cancelled abruptly with out prior information. The train could be rescheduled/diverted as the train covers long route. The authority could have planned early and stopped booking and notify in the Newspaper in advance
