Mumbai most awaited first underground metro, the Aqua Line is all set to launch. This new metro line will make traveling in Mumbai faster and easier, especially between Cuffe Parade and the airport. Its not yet started operations till date. However will start soon and this will consider another remarkable turning point in Mumbai Metro.

Key Highlights : Mumbai Underground Metro

Cost: The project cost ₹37,000 crore.
Route: The Aqua Line covers 33.5 kilometers and connects Aarey Colony in the north to Cuffe Parade in the south.
Stations: There are 27 stations including important areas like Churchgate, Mumbai Central, and the airport.

Underground Metro Phase 1:

The first phase starts Soon , running from SEEPZ (Santacruz Electronics Export Processing Zone) to BKC (Bandra Kurla Complex).

Completion Date :

The entire project is expected to be completed by December 2024.

Benefits:

Reduced Travel Time

: The travel time from Cuffe Parade to the airport will be cut from 100 minutes to just 50 minutes.
Comfort and Safety: The metro will have escalators, elevators, secure platforms, and CCTV coverage.

Operating Hours : Underground Metro

Trains will run from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM, with trains arriving every few minutes.
The Aqua Line is a big step forward in improving Mumbai’s transportation system, making daily commutes easier and more efficient for everyone.
