MUMBAI MEGA BLOCK: CENTRAL LINE, HARBOUR LINE, TRANS HARBOUR LINE, URAN LINE, and WESTERN LINE: December 22, 2024

Central Railway and Western Railway will conduct Mumbai Mega Block and Jumbo Block on most of the Sundays for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works under both the Railway zones.

Central Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Mega Block and Western Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Jumbo Block.

CENTRAL LINE

Kalyan – Thane Up and Down Fast Line (10.40 am – 03.40 pm)

Central Railway has announced a Mega Block on the Up and Down Fast Lines between Kalyan and Thane from 10:40 AM to 3:40 PM.

Train services on the Thane-Kalyan Up and Down Fast Lines will be disrupted from 10:40 AM to 3:40 PM.

  • Down fast and semi-fast local trains departing CSMT Mumbai between 9:34 AM and 3:03 PM will be diverted to the Down Slow Line between Thane and Kalyan.
  • These trains will make additional stops at Kalva, Mumbra, and Diva stations before returning to their regular route, resulting in a delay of approximately 10 minutes at their destinations.
  • Up fast and semi-fast trains departing Kalyan between 10:28 AM and 3:40 PM will be diverted to the Up Slow Line between Kalyan and Thane.
  • These trains will also stop at Diva, Mumbra, and Kalva stations in addition to their scheduled halts. After Mulund, they will return to the Up Fast Line, with an expected delay of about 10 minutes at their destinations.

Thakurli – Kalyan Special Traffic and Power Night Block (01.00 am – 04.30 am)

Central Railway has announced a special traffic and power night block for the launching of girders between Thakurli and Kalyan. The block will be in effect during the intervening night of December 21 and 22, 2024, from 1:00 AM to 4:30 AM.

  • Mail/Express Trains Diverted
    • Train 11020 (Bhubaneswar – CSMT) : Route: Diverted via Karjat – Panvel – Thane (with additional halts at Panvel and Thane).
    • Train 18519 (Visakhapatnam – LTT) : Route: Diverted via Karjat – Panvel – Thane (with additional halts at Panvel and Thane).
    • Train 12702 (Hussainsagar Express, Hyderabad – CSMT) : Route: Diverted via Karjat – Panvel – Thane (with additional halts at Panvel and Thane).
    • Train 11140 (Hospet – CSMT) : Route: Diverted via Karjat – Panvel – Thane (with additional halts at Panvel and Thane).
  • Suburban Services Affected:
    • Before Block Down Trains:
      • Train S-41 (CSMT – Karjat): Departs at 23:30.
      • Train TL-63 (CSMT – Titwala): Departs at 23:16.
    • After Block Down Trains:
      • Train TS-1 (Thane – Karjat): Departs at 5:00.
      • Train CTL1 (Kurla – Titwala): Departs at 5:57.
    • After Block Up Trains:
      • Karjat – CSMT Special : Departs at 03.48
      • Train No.TL4 Titwala – CSMT : Departs 04.32

No suburban services will be available between Kalyan and Thane stations during the block period.

HARBOUR LINE

TRANS – HARBOUR LINE

Thane – Vashi/Nerul Up and Down Trans Harbour Line (11.10 am – 04.10 pm)

Central Railway has announced a Mega Block on the Up and Down Trans-Harbour Line between Thane and Vashi/Nerul from 11:10 AM to 4:10 PM.

  • Train services on the Thane-Vashi/Nerul Up and Down Transharbour Lines will not operate between 11:10 AM and 4:10 PM.
  • Down line trains from Thane to Vashi, Nerul, and Panvel scheduled between 10:35 AM and 4:07 PM, along with Up line trains from Vashi, Nerul, and Panvel to Thane scheduled between 10:25 AM and 4:09 PM, will be cancelled.

URAN LINE

No yet announced the Mega Block details in URAN Line

WESTERN LINE

No Day Block Over WR, Only Night Block

Vasai Road – Bhayandar Up and Down Slow Lines (00.30 am – 04.00 am)

  • Western Railway has announced a 3-hour-and-30-minute Jumbo Block on the Up and Down Slow lines between Vasai Road and Bhayandar stations to facilitate track, signaling, and overhead equipment maintenance. The block will take place from 12:30 AM to 4:00 AM during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, December 21-22, 2024.
  • During this period, all Slow line trains will operate on Fast lines between Virar/Vasai Road and Borivali/Bhayandar stations. Some Up and Down suburban trains will be canceled. Passengers can obtain detailed information from the Station Masters.
  • It is also confirmed that there will be no daytime block on the Western Railway suburban section on Sunday, December 22, 2024.

The maintenance mega block / jumbo block is essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.

    between 31/03/2018 11.30 pm to 01/04/2018, any work going on at Bhandup regarding Gurder or any other work, all lines are closed, start from 01/04/2018, about 5:45 am
