MEGA BLOCK December 29, 2024:: MUMBAI LOCAL TRAIN

MUMBAI MEGA BLOCK: CENTRAL LINE, HARBOUR LINE, TRANS HARBOUR LINE, URAN LINE, and WESTERN LINE: December 29, 2024

Central Railway and Western Railway will conduct Mumbai Mega Block and Jumbo Block on most of the Sundays for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works under both the Railway zones.

Central Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Mega Block and Western Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Jumbo Block.

Central Railway announced the details of Mega Block on Sunday i.e. on 29.12.2024. Western Railway also announced the details of Jumbo Blocks in Western Line on 29.12.2024. Mumbai local train mega block details are as follows

CENTRAL LINE

CSMT – Vidyavihar Up and Down Slow Lines (10.55 am – 03.25 pm)

• Down slow services departing from CSMT Mumbai between 10:48 AM and 3:18 PM will be diverted to the down fast line between CSMT Mumbai and Vidyavihar stations.
• These trains will halt at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion, and Kurla stations.
• They will then be re-diverted to the down slow line at Vidyavihar station.
Up slow services departing from Ghatkopar between 10:19 AM and 3:19 PM will be diverted to the up fast line between Vidyavihar and CSMT Mumbai stations.
• These trains will halt at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel, and Byculla stations.
• Special local trains will operate on the CSMT Mumbai – Vashi section during the block period.

HARBOUR LINE

Panvel – Vashi Up and Down Harbour Lines (11.05 am – 04.05 pm)

• UP Harbour line services towards CSMT departing from Panvel between 10:33 AM and 3:49 PM will remain canceled.
• DOWN Harbour line services towards Panvel/Belapur departing from CSMT between 9:45 AM and 3:12 PM will also remain canceled.

TRANS – HARBOUR LINE

Panvel – Thane Up and Down Trans – Harbour Line (10.01 am – 03.53 pm)

• UP Trans – Harbour line services towards Thane departing from Panvel between 11:02 AM and 3:53 PM will remain canceled.
• DOWN Trans – Harbour line services towards Panvel departing from Thane between 10:01 AM and 3:20 PM will remain canceled.
• Trans – Harbour line services will continue to be available between Thane, Vashi, and Nerul stations during this time.

URAN LINE

• PORT line services between Belapur/Nerul and Uran stations will also remain operational during the block period.

WESTERN LINE

No Day Block Over WR, Only Night Block

Lower Parel Up and Down Fast Lines (11.30 Pm – 04.30 Am)

• Western Railway has announced that a Major Non-Interlocking (NI) Block will be implemented during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, i.e., December 28/29, 2024. This block is necessary for the commissioning of the Electronic Interlocking (EI) panel at Lower Parel station.
• The block will be in effect for 05 hours, from 11:30 PM to 4:30 AM, on the UP and DOWN Fast lines.
• During this period, all fast line trains will be diverted to the slow lines between Mumbai Central and Mahim stations.
• As a result, some UP and DOWN local trains will be canceled.
• Detailed information about these train cancellations will be available at all suburban section stations. Passengers are requested to make note of these arrangements.
• Please note that there will be no block during the daytime on the Western Railway suburban section on Sunday, December 29, 2024.

The maintenance mega block / jumbo block is essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.
