Smart Features of Tejas Rajdhani Trains

• PA/PIS (Passenger Announcement/Passenger Information System): Two LCDs inside each coach display vital journey related information to the passengers such as the next station, distance remaining, expected time of arrival, delay and safety related messages.
• Security & Surveillance monitoring: Six nos. of cameras are fitted in each coach which gives live recording. CCTV cameras with day night vision capability, Facial recognition even in low light condition, Network Video Recorder are provided.
• Automatic Plug Door: All main entrance doors are centralized controlled by Guard. Train will not start until all doors are closed.
• Fire Alarm, Detection and Suppression system: All coaches are provided with Automatic Fire Alarm and Detection System. The Pantry and Power Cars have automatic fire suppression system in case detected.
• Emergency Talk back for medical or security emergency
• Improved Toilet Unit: Provided with anti-graffiti coating, Gel coated shelf, New design dustbin, Door latch activated light, Engagement display, Infant care seat.
• Toilet Occupancy Sensor: Automatically displays the toilet occupancy inside each coach
• Panic Button in Lavatories: Fitted in each lavatory, in case of any emergency.
• Toilet Annunciation Sensor Integration (TASI): Two nos. of Toilet Annunciation Sensor Integration are fitted in each coach which will relay dos and don’ts announcement in the lavatories, whenever it is engaged.
• Bio-Vacuum Toilet system: Provides improved hygiene condition in the toilet due to improved flushing and also save water per flush.
• Stainless Steel Under-frame: Complete under-frame is of austenitic stainless steel (SS 201LN) which increases life of the coach because of reduced corrosion.
• Air Suspension Bogies: Provided with Air Spring Suspension in bogies to improve passenger comfort and ride quality of these coaches.
• On Board condition monitoring system for Bearing, Wheel, to improve safety

Bhubaneswar – New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express

The service has switched to regular operation with Tejas rakes, replacing the previous LHB coaches, and has been renamed the Tejas Rajdhani Express.

Mumbai – New Delhi Rajdhani Express with Tejas Type Smart Coaches

Western Railway introduced Tejas SMART coaches in Mumbai – Delhi Rajdhani Express Trains.

The Rajdhani Express now features Tejas-type smart coaches. These upgraded Tejas SMART sleeper coaches have been introduced on the Mumbai-New Delhi Rajdhani Express and the Mumbai-Hazrat Nizamuddin August Kranti Rajdhani Express. This upgrade provides passengers with a new and enhanced travel experience, offering greater comfort.

In terms of passenger convenience, POD retiring rooms have been introduced at Mumbai Central Railway Station. These POD concept rooms offer affordable accommodation, with amenities such as Wi-Fi, luggage rooms, TV, and lockers for the comfort of passengers.

Mumbai Central- H. Nizamuddin August Kranti Rajdhani Express

Indian Railway has announced that the Mumbai Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin August Kranti Rajdhani Express began operating with the new Tejas rake starting from December 14, 2021.

Rajendra Nagar (Patna) – New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express Trains

Indian Railways introduced the second Rajdhani Express with exclusive Tejas-type Smart Sleeper coaches after the Mumbai-New Delhi Rajdhani Express. From September 1, 2021, the Rajendra Nagar Terminal (Patna) – New Delhi Rajdhani Express began running with upgraded Tejas rakes. This marks a new era of train travel, offering enhanced comfort and safety.

The Tejas sleeper coaches feature smart technology, providing world-class facilities. These golden-hued coaches come equipped with Passenger Information and Coach Computing Unit (PICCU), GSM network connectivity, CCTV recording, and advanced safety systems like fire detection and air quality sensors. The new rake aims to offer the best-in-class travel experience.

Mumbai – New Delhi : Rajdhani Express in Tejas

Train Nos.02951/52 Mumbai – New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express : Western Railway introduces upgraded Tejas sleeper coach rakes in 02951/2 Mumbai Central – New Delhi Rajdhani Express from 19.07.2021. With enhanced features like sliding doors, digital boards, CCTVs, they are set to give you a best in class experience.

Anand Vihar – Agartala Tejas Rajdhani Express Train

Train Nos.02501/02502Agartala and Anand Vihar Terminal. This service, the first of its kind in the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), will begin on February 15, 2021, from Agartala, and on February 17, 2021, from Anand Vihar Terminal. Train No.20502 Agartala – Anand Vihar-Agartala Tejas Rajdhani Express will have new stoppage at Sahibganj station on Malda Division. The train will stop at Sahibganj station at 13:56 PM on 15.10.2024 and depart at 13:58 PM. The return journey of this train (20501) will stop at Sahibganj station at 17:01 PM on 10.10.2024 and depart at 17:03 PM.

Tejas Type Sleeper Coaches ~ Features

• The features of Tejas type Sleeper coaches are as under:-
