MEGA BLOCK February 02, 2025:: MUMBAI LOCAL TRAIN

MUMBAI MEGA BLOCK: CENTRAL LINE, HARBOUR LINE, TRANS HARBOUR LINE, URAN LINE, and WESTERN LINE: February 02, 2025

Central Railway and Western Railway will conduct Mumbai Mega Block and Jumbo Block on most of the Sundays for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works under both the Railway zones.

Central Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Mega Block and Western Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Jumbo Block.

Central Railway announced the details of Mega Block on Sunday i.e. on 02.02.2025. Western Railway also announced the details of Jumbo Blocks in Western Line on 02.02.2025. Mumbai local train mega block details are as follows

CENTRAL LINE

Matunga – Mulund Up and Down Fast Lines (11.30 am – 3.30 pm)

A block will be implemented on the Up and Down Fast Lines between Matunga and Mulund stations from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

• Down Fast Line: Services departing from CSMT Mumbai between 10:58 AM and 3:10 PM will be diverted to the Down Slow Line at Matunga, halting at their respective scheduled stations between Matunga and Mulund. These trains will reach their destination 15 minutes behind schedule. Fast trains traveling beyond Thane will be re-diverted back to the Down Fast Line at Mulund.
• Up Fast Line: Services departing from Thane between 11:25 AM and 3:27 PM will be diverted to the Up Slow Line at Mulund, halting at their respective scheduled stations between Mulund and Matunga. They will then be re-diverted back to the Up Fast Line at Matunga and will reach their destination 15 minutes behind schedule.

HARBOUR LINE

Central Railway announced that there will be no Mega Block on the Harbour Line between CSMT and Panvel on Sunday 02.02.2025.

TRANS – HARBOUR LINE

Central Railway announced that there will be no Mega Block on the Trans-Harbour Line between Thane and Panvel on Sunday 02.02.2025.

URAN LINE

Not yet announced the Mega Block details in URAN Line

WESTERN LINE

Jogeshwari – Kandivali Station (9:30 am – 1:30 pm)

• A 4-hour jumbo block will be conducted on Line 5 between Jogeshwari and Kandivali stations on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM to carry out maintenance work on track, overhead and signalling equipment. Western Railway announced that to carry out track, overhead, and signaling maintenance work, a jumbo block of 4 hours will be taken on the Up (towards Churchgate) lines between Jogeshwari and Kandivali stations on Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 01:30 AM to 05:30 AM.
• During this block period, all Mail/Express trains scheduled to halt at Vasai Road Terminus will be diverted via Andheri and Borivali stations, skipping their scheduled stop at Vasai Road. As a result, local services will be operated from Platform No. 6 at Borivali station. Some suburban services may also be affected.

Western Railway announced another Major Train Block :- Virar – Vaitarna and Saphale – Kelve Road : Train Block on 01st/02nd and 9th.02.2025

The maintenance mega block / jumbo block is essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.
